I was actually surprised at how little time it took for the old man to try and psych out the ocean.

Soon, la familia will try our hands at fishing and shrimping. In preparation I’ve been trying to find some good spots to do this. Well, this morning I happened across a secluded little park that just happens to offer one of the best views of the Charleston harbor.

Today I finally got to work on the garden. While the girls splashed merrily in their kiddie pool, I planted Black From Tula tomatoes, Cherokee Trail of Tears beans, a couple sunflowers and a few other varieties of flowers.

You know you work at a pretty decent job when you can make cupcakes for a couple people’s birthdays, one of whom has been kind of jerky to everyone for the past couple days, yourself included… and still you’re just happy to make them, without feeling as though your magnanimous action somehow vindicates you.

Saturday I had a blast selling yarn, raw dyed wool and soap at Redux downtown for Festival Festival.

Sunday I had a blast throwing a third birthday bash for the Chublet.

Yesterday I had a blast dyeing some beautifully soft Merino roving, which I’ve spun up already.
