About halfway through this exercise in futility, I realized I could make more lace and… it could be lacier… if I use slightly larger needles. Because, let’s face it: it’s not lace unless it’s mostly holes. [...] My newest friend, Ms. Fancy, is quite an accomplished knitter of love-hats. She’s also a fiber connoisseur, working only with handmade yarns. Of course I had to give her some of my handspun… and she gave it right back! just in time for Autumn Almost two weeks ago, the world lost an exceptional man. He was my ersatz dad’s best friend since before I was born and I’m only lucky I had the good fortune to meet him on more than one occasion.
