Funds are low, but what do they know? I’ve decided to get up to Fletcher, NC for the Southeastern Animal Fiber Festival this weekend any old way. Well, not exactly live, but… After the girls’ success dyeing eggs this past weekend, I figured they could help me dye some yarn, which I’ve been researching the past couple days. As much as I try to keep artificial food coloring out of their little bodies, it’s the most readily accessible and least toxic thing I can use for coloring [...] This morning I deflated the air mattress for the last time. The couch will work fine until the new bed happens. I’d find it pretty unconscionable to throw the mattress to the curb, big ol’ heaping hunk of plastic that it is. I left it there on the floor, figuring I’d at least cut out the [...] After supper yesterday, we went out for a doughnut dessert. The Corn Puppy had frosted vanilla and the Chublet had sprinkles. I got the leftovers. Deeeelicious. If you’re local, Dunkin’ Doughnuts on Folly Road gives money to the Corn Puppy’s school for every doughnut they sell on Mondays. So mark your calendar and get thee [...] I really have no new projects that I’m working on, but I will share this: My bed? It’s an air mattress. You read that correctly.
