Google TiSP: Going With the Flow

*snicker!*I was Googling “wireless internet providers” and the Big G’s April Fool’s joke was third or fourth in the search results.

To Do:

In the interest of prioritizing and completing them, I dashed around the apartment this evening recording all the stagnant projects that have been weighing on my psyche.

So here goes:

1. the pink alpaca scarf. This is the only one that’s actually not stagnating, but getting completed. Slowly.

2. the garden.I swear that’s really a beautiful, fertile soil enriched [...]

Hello, somebody.

The more I thought about it, the angrier I got. Miss Terri did not die of pneumonia, as I was told on Wednesday morning. Her autopsy shows it was a massive heart attack, which some of us believe may have been brought on by a stroke that nobody caught.

I haven’t been inside a church in [...]

Now you know.

a sad day

This morning I dropped off the Chublet at her daycare. She’s been there for about two years now, traveling from the toddler class, through the twos… and recently transferring to the threes just slightly before her third birthday.

Somehow our favorite teacher, Miss Terri, has always been the Chublet’s teacher. We love her.

As I was leaving [...]

It’s so pink, you don’t even know.

Just tried to take a picture of the scarf I’m knitting with a skein of hand-painted alpaca I picked up at Knit’s inventory sale, but the batteries are kaput.

That’s ok. It just means there will be more to show when I get some new batteries.

first day of Spring

I put out the plants today. There’s a mini jungle on the front porch. My rite caused no calamity, but it did attract a fat bumblebee to check out the wares.

All of a sudden I’m back at work almost full-time, which explains (temporarily) the lack of progress on projects. It’s a bit weird going back [...]

get high like planes

A couple weekends ago I got to see Slumdog Millionaire… and haven’t been able to get the movie or the soundtrack out of my head.

There’s plenty of other good stuff in there, but this song by M.I.A. caught my attention the most. It was meant to be a satire anyway, but the way it’s used [...]

This all has to mean something.

I’m loving spinning and fiber arts all around.

Oboes are flying in my general direction.

The growing season is here and we are in it.

Western North Carolina…

Ten years out of an unfinished baccalaureate, I have finally entered into defaulted-student-loan rehab… and by the grace of Her Broadness, the Almighty Gaia, I will be an “adult” student at [...]
